A crossword needs a good clue behind every word. Writing them is the slow part. Let the AI write them, then make them your own.
Click a crossword page and find the AI assistance card. Clue puzzles get one button that does both jobs: Suggest words with clues. The words follow the book's theme and age group, and each one arrives with its clue. A crossword holds up to ten words, so ten is plenty here. The AI writes the clues for the age group you chose, so a clue for nine to twelve year olds asks a little more than one for younger children. Wait a few seconds, and the list is filled.
Change any clue you want to say differently. Short and clear works best for children. Check that each clue really points to one answer, because a clue that fits two words is frustrating to solve. Then click Generate, and the grid and the clue list are rebuilt. Not happy with the layout of the grid? Click Shuffle for a new arrangement of the same words.
Have a list you typed yourself? Open it in Word lists and click Write clues. The AI adds a clue to every word you already have. Save it, and the list now shows up for every clue puzzle, like criss-cross, double puzzle and letter tiles.
