You don't have to type numbers to lay out a page. You can grab things and move them with the mouse, just like in a design tool.
Drag the title to move it. When you let go, the page redraws exactly as it will print. The puzzle and the word list move the same way. Only the outline moves while you drag, so it stays fast.
To make something bigger or smaller, drag the handle in its bottom right corner. The same size shows up as a percentage in the Text and layout tab, if you prefer typing.
Drag on empty paper, and you move the background picture instead.
Pictures work the same way. Click a picture to get its handles. Drag it, resize it from a corner, and turn it with the round handle. Hold Shift while turning to snap to neat angles. Near the middle of the page, it snaps to the centre.
Made a mistake? That is what undo is for.
