Your first puzzle book in 5 minutes with the guided project
The guided project builds a complete book for you in four steps. You answer a few questions, the app generates every puzzle, and you end up in the editor with a finished book to adjust.
Step one is about the book. If you made a book template before, you can start from it here. Type a title. Then pick a theme. The list shows every theme your media library has pictures for. Want a theme you have no pictures for yet? Tick Custom theme and type it.
The template sets the heading, background and decorations of every page. Choose a trim size: eight and a half by eleven inches, six by nine, or an eight and a half inch square. The age group tunes the puzzles to your readers. The language decides which word lists fill the puzzles.
Now the printing question. Leave Print this book in colour off for a black and white interior, the cheap way to print. Pictures then print as line drawings. Turn it on, and pictures that come in colour print in colour. You can change this later in Book settings. Tick the next box to put one of your theme's backgrounds behind every puzzle. Finally, pick a heading font and a puzzle font.
Step two decides which puzzles go in. Type the number of pages you want and click Fill puzzles. The app spreads them over the puzzle types, solutions and intro page included. Untick a row to leave a puzzle out. Small grid puzzles like sudoku can share a page, two or four at a time. Under each picture puzzle you see which artwork it will use. Want a book of just one puzzle? Click Only this. At the bottom, add a This book belongs to page and a solutions section.
Step three gives every word puzzle one list of words, so the whole book stays on theme. The number of words per puzzle follows the age group, and you can change it. Use a word list you saved before. Or let the AI write one on your theme, with a clue for each word. This uses AI credits, and the list is saved for your next book. No list at hand? Skip, and each puzzle uses its own example words.
Step four shows a summary: how many puzzles, how many pages, and which artwork each puzzle uses. This is the moment to spot a bad match. Click Generate book. Every puzzle gets its own seed, so you can reshuffle any of them later.
Your book is ready to adjust and export.
