A crossword needs two things: words, and a clue for each word. Here is the fastest way to get both.
Choose Crossword and click Add puzzle page.
In the word list library, only lists with clues are shown, because a crossword needs them. Pick one and click Use this list. In the AI card, Suggest words with clues writes both on your theme. Typed your own words? Write clues adds the clues for you. Both use AI credits.
Have your own list with clues? Import file loads it into the puzzle. You can also edit any word or clue by hand in the words field, and the grid updates straight away. A short, themed list of eight to twelve words gives a tidy grid.
Clue placement puts the clue lists under the grid, or in a column to the left or right. Title and instructions are yours to edit.
Shuffle interlocks the words in a new way. The solutions section shows the filled in grid.
