Making your own puzzle page template
The video for this guide is coming soon
Everything it shows is written out below.
You can design your own page layout and use it in every book. Open Templates from the start screen.
Go to the Templates tab. Choose the puzzle type this page is for, here Word Search, and an age group. Then click New template. Your new page appears in the list, with a live preview in the middle. Want one design for every puzzle type? Use New template for any puzzle type instead. Each template you make shows up in this list, with its puzzle type and age group underneath.
On the right, give it a name you will recognise. Lays out shows which puzzle type it is made for. You can also change the age group here at any time.
Under Page background, click Import picture and choose your artwork. Keep it pale, so the puzzle stays easy to read. The size menu next to the button is the page size the picture is checked against, and the app warns you if it does not fit well. You can shift the background, or make it a little bigger so it still covers the edges after a shift.
Click any part of the preview to open its controls. For the title, pick a font, make it bold and choose a colour. Drag it on the preview to move it. The puzzle has its own setting, Keep clear of the edges. Extra space at the top pushes the puzzle down, extra space at the bottom pulls it up. Drag the template's own elements straight on the preview, with handles to resize and turn them.
Click Add decoration to place artwork from your Elements, behind the puzzle or on top of it like a sticker. Click Add text for a text box of your own, such as a line for the child's name. Drag it anywhere and style it like any other text. Do not need the word list or the instructions on this page? Tick Hide on the page for that slot, and untick it to bring it back.
There is no save button. Every change saves itself. To use your page in a book, put it in a template group.
